Turtle Bits: Movie Title Possibly Changed as Splinter Gets a New Face

From TMNT Community Site:

The past week has offered up quite a bit of interesting TMNT movie news, so rather than focusing on one particular tidbit, why not touch base on everything in a long overdue Turtle Bits!

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the new Ninja Turtle movie might have received a title change when a CinemaCon presentation unveiled a logo featuring the words “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” As of yet, the title change remains unconfirmed, but it would seem odd to produce a logo for the film at this point which doesn’t accurately reflect the actual title. While stranger things have happened, a recent interview with Michael Bay seems to suggest that the title change might not actually be happening.

While he seemed to be avoiding the question a bit, when the interviewer posited whether or not the title was still “Ninja Turtles,” the filmmaker’s response was a simple “yeah, yeah.” This is far from a confirmation and we aren’t sure exactly when the interview took place, but it does call into question whether or not that new logo was actually correct. As with most rumors, we’ll just have to wait and see what they do in the end. It’s worth noting that during this interview, Bay was sure to point out once more that this isn’t his movie – he is only producing it, Jonathan Liebesman is directing. As the famed Transformers director puts it, “The director makes the movie.”

Speaking of the film, yet another interesting casting choice was made recently when Danny Woodburn was chosen for the role of Splinter. With cast members like Alan Ritchson and even producer Michael Bay recently talking about how lifelike this new motion capture CGI is, the choice to bring on this well known actor as the turtle’s iconic sensei is a rather interesting one. As casting news continues to flow in, we can start to actually formulate some idea of what the characters might look like, which is obviously very exciting.

Few fans have made any complaints about this casting choice, as Woodburn has plenty of experience in the film industry, having recently performed in films such as Mirror, Mirror and Watchmen. Considering how vocal the fans have been about Megan Fox and the boys brought on to play our beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s nice to see that in this case, the fans seem to be happy with the choice that was made. Sadly, most of you are still pretty upset about everything else that has been revealed about the film and we still don’t know quite how it will turn out. What do you think? Is there reason to be hopeful for this movie again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Alan Ritchson Reveals Details About Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles

From TMNT Community Site:

Among rather heavy clouds of doubt surrounding the Michael Bay produced film Ninja Turtles, one of the latest additions to the crew actually has some positive things to say about the movie. Alan Ritchson, set to play Raphael in the film, gave THR the scoop recently at the MTV Movie Awards
going so far as to say that “everything you read online is wrong.” Considering that a lot of people closely attached to the franchise have said some rather negative things about the project, you might be thinking that the words of a relative rookie to the Turtle-verse probably don’t mean as much as something like Peter Laird’s recent words about Megan Fox. However, the truth about this interview with Ritchson is that it is very revealing, giving us insight into exactly how the film is being produced.

While it was once speculation, we can now pretty much confirm that the actors hired on to play our beloved Turtles will not just be voices, they will be motion capture animated CGI characters. Ritchson explains the process as such:

“It’s been an interesting process with the kind of technology we’re working with, this live action motion capture thing. There’s just a lot of technology involved, so there’s some kinks to work out. We’ve had some trial runs and we’ve actually started shooting some. We’re also in this phase right now that is sort of developmental. We’ve gotta be ninjas, unfortunately for me, who can barely walk and talk at the same time, so we’re learning a lot of the fight choreography and that kind of thing, so we’ve got these unbelievable stunt trainers that work us every day to the bone. It’s been a great process.”

 Some reputable sources
had been reporting that this production was moving forward with motion capture technology, but until now we hadn’t really had confirmation of this information. Thanks to this interesting interview, we can now develop a better idea of what to expect from this film. After all, it seemed an odd choice to bring on four relatively unknown actors to play everyone’s favorite heroes in a half shell, didn’t it? Well, now that we know that they are there to run around in motion capture suits and try to perform some interesting choreography, it’s easier to see why they were chosen for the roles. When it comes right down to it, you don’t hire a well known actor to play a part where their face won’t even be a prominent fixture in the film. Ritchson had more to say about the process later in the interview:

“It’s live action motion capture, so like, we’re running around Manhattan, me and Megan Fox; her looking wonderful and me looking like some kind of ant with cameras all over my face and dots. It’s ridiculous and it sucks running around with that kind of stuff on in public, but it’s what we must do.”

Whether or not this is a good thing will be left up to the fans to decide. Sadly, Ritchson didn’t have many positive things to say about the fans during this interview:

“The frustrating thing for me, since I’ve signed on, is that you hear that it’s already got a reputation –  this movie that hasn’t come out yet. I think people assume that they know what it’s going to be about, and those people are wrong. The assumptions, all – everything you read online is wrong. It’s frustrating, because you want to tell everybody how great it is and you can’t really say why, but it is. It’s so much better than people think. I promise that. It’s going to look way better than anybody could imagine. I can’t wait for people to see this. I think it’s going to live up to and exceed everybody’s boyhood dreams of being a Ninja Turtle.”

Well, TMNT fans? What do you think?

Eastman's Art on Alien Turtle 2012 (old news)

Now, as you may already read that this isn't going to happen anymore. I mean this would be a cool Playmates toys. But not for a movie. This is an old artwork that Eastman was going to the turtles to look like but now due to the last email i've gotten...
The turtles will be forever a Mutation and not an Alien...Thank god!

Yes, we already know the ooze is from an Alien planet and may by Aliens, and there for the turtles are half Alien thanks to the ooze..But If you read the old Bay's scrip that they are Aliens from another planet call Demotion-x Or aka Turtle planet.

Thank you again for changing this into the original idea for the TMNT, we true fans made this happen from blowing up at Bay's bullshit ideas..

(to add): The cap are the colored with the original of "Purple, Blue,Orange, and yes Red".. Casey found the turtles first, and he's getting confuse who is who. So he ripped up the bottom of the turtle's caps and made this into a mask for each of the turtles so he can tell them apart......(yeeeeeaaahhh).

Raphael In Back To The Sewer Art

Here is Raphael leaving the future and back in there own time, but when they're going through the time warp. They didn't have any weapons. But After (also) After Turtles Forever, they added eyes in them to give that classic feel to it. Also in this picture he's still wearing his Fast Forward armor.

Raphael Season 1 Art

My Favorite Raphael, darker and piss off.. I wouldn't call this Raphael a Teen, but more like an adult Raphael..

Danny Woodburn has been cast as Master Splinter

From TMNT Community Site:

Master Splinter has been officially cast for Michael Bay/Jonathan Liebesman Ninja Turtles 2014 film. Its apparent that Danny Woodburn will be Master Splinter but its not specified if Woodburn will be a voice over or if he will put on the motion-capture-suit. Danny Woodburn's acting career started in 1991 and he played major roles in Mirror Mirror, Employee of the Month, Death to Smooch, and many more films. Paramount will release the picture June 6, 2014. Tell us TMNT fans, What are your thoughts on a little man acting as Master Splinter?

NOW for what i have to say about this...I hope they don't use his voice because he talks like a little mouse and i'm also thinking he's going to be inside the puppet of Splinter maybe? He normally talks like Movie 1990 Raphael..
But, here is a bright part of this.... The original idea for the coming up TMNT movie when the Turtles was going to be Aliens. But if you read more about this story, Splinter was not going to be in the next movie. But it looks like they fix the story and add Splinter into the movie and i know they're not going to say splinter is from a rat world and he's an alien. So let's see what's going to happen next..

Oh if you want to know where Danny is known for (that i can remember him in :

Watchmen
Big Figure Prisoner

Monk
Little Willie Karelli

Charmed
Head Dwarf

Becker
Arnoldo

Death to Smoochy
Angelo Pike

Seinfeld
Mickey / Mickey Abbott

Megan Foxx as April

I woke up and my friend "Dequan Oozaru Purcell" posted about this, so i went online to look more into this..
It's look ok....But i hope she doesn't wear whore clothes like she does in every movies and use her fake "sex voice", she looks really stupid when she does. And i hope the writer doesn't try to do anything sexual things on her kind like how they did with Venus.
Or i hope they don't make "April" trying to flirt with Shredder or the turtles... This is a ride for all Turtles fan like me to know if this movie is going to be any good or not.. They're so many post of them saying this is still an Alien movie or a original movie base on the comics.
But i do have a feeling, If they fail this movie, Someone who is a true fan and a real writer and director will remake the movie and do it right. Kinda like how they did with The Hulk or Spider Man movies and Batman...

From Dequan Oozaru Purcell post:
"TMNT (2007)" Review- Everybody knows that I'm a huge TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES fan, hell I remember having the pajamas, the toys, the blankets, and the video games. Hell my favorite all time movie is the 1st ever TMNT movie ever made, I remember seeing this movie back in 2007 and I was like what 13. Believe it or not, I loved this movie, I loved the designs of the characters, the action sequences, the voice cast. But now watching the movie now as a 18 year old, this movie is actually a "Leo's and Raph's" movie and I soon discovered that there more moments that make it more of a promotion for a video game than a movie. Like I said before, this is more a Leonardo and Raphael movie as the are the central characters that the movie overuse as the put the other turtles, Donatello and Michelangelo aside to only be used as gags than establishing that legendary brotherhood that the turtles are known and loved for. Hell, they only use Splinter to once and a while to inspirational lectures and any TMNT fan who looked at Splinter for a father-like role in the franchise will go like "I hate Splinter"., and I'm not suppose to hate him as he is one of the most iconic father-figures in comics/video games. The movie also has a confusing plot to it, such as there are in fact in total 4 plots that the movie has but only solves 2 of those plots. These plots consist of

-April and Casey is having a relationship problems(Pointless and not solved)
-Raph is bitching about Leo leaving and returning to New York(REALLY Pointless and somehow solved)
-Leo not fully accepting his role as the leader(Solved)
-The 13 monsters most be found and be returned home(Main plot has to be solved)

These are the plots that the movie delivers but only solves 2 of them. I would often get mad at the fact these plots are often misused as the slow the movie down a bit and soon it will get boring. Plus like most movies that is based on the comic books or video games or tv shows with a huge cult following, as it is confused on how it is such as"This is the movie for the fans","This is the movie for the people that loved the 1st movie", "This is the movie for the new generations of Turtle lovers", and the movie is often confused on who it wants to be to where it clouds its plot. The action sequence are the highlights of the movie as they are heart pounding and fun (probably inspiring the 2012 series) but then some are video game like, such as the courtyard fight is almost like a video game fight you play on games like Street Fighter or Assassin's Creed. I do like the character designs that they movie gives you, like the turtles look almost teens, The Foot look armored and menacing, and the monsters themselves are threatening and scary.,these character designs are backed up by the strong cast as they feel perfect character voices for these characters. So, "TMNT" is a very confusing movie that has alot of things that makes it unique and often fun movie that gives you fun action scenes, awesome designs and a excellent voice acting. But is lazy movie that has to some problems that makes the movie fail at being the new iconic TMNT movie.

Rating(S)-5/10-or-RENTAL

Due on web page:Upcoming:

Megan Fox redhead,According to an April 5 report by E! Online, the brunette beauty traded her dark locks to rock a rusty red look for her new role as reporter April O’Neil in the upcoming “Ninja Turtles” movie. But will the hair color be enough to convince “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” fans that Megan was the right choice for the role?

Perhaps she should have thrown on April’s signature yellow jumpsuit, because it’s unlikely that her hair color change will put an end to all the fanboy hate. She already helped to ruin one famous franchise that makes kids of the ‘80s and ‘90s feel all nostalgic by starring in a few of the “Transformers” movies, and she brought extra drama to that series of films by comparing director Michael Bay to Hitler and getting herself fired. But now all is forgiven, and Bay has invited her to help him turn the heroes in a half shell into caricatures of their old selves. But to be fair, Bay is just producing “Ninja Turtles,” so he’d probably appreciate it if all the hate could be directed at director Jonathan Liebesman instead.
